The coffee was amazing, service was friendly and prompt. The only reason I didn't give five stars for the atmosphere is because it was so loud inside that my date and I had to go somewhere else to talk--we couldn't have a conversation because we had to keep repeating ourselves. The physical atmosphere/seating itself is fine. I ordered a cortado with an extra shot. It was really good, and so was the chocolate disk it came with.

This has to be the best, most consistent, most unique cappuccino place in Maryland. I’ve lived around the world and the orange cardamom cappuccino from Gravel & Grind is fantastic. The flavor of the coffee is great and the taste is consistent across baristas. They all know what they are doing and the beans are obviously on point and fresh. My kids love the hot chocolate and avocado toast. I’ve tried some of the pastries but usually am just going for the cappuccino.

Gravel & Grind is a great local spot in Frederick! The coffee is good, and there’s busyness in the shop that makes it feel welcoming. Even when it’s busy, it’s a good place to settle in and chill. The food is good also. I enjoy the avocado toast and the waffles; I tend to get it every time. The matcha is also good and definitely worth trying. Whether you’re meeting a friend, getting some work done, or simply looking for a place to relax and read a book, Gravel & Grind is a great choice. The indoor space is comfortable and inviting, and the outdoor seating is just as enjoyable when the weather is nice. It’s a wonderful local coffee shop that keeps me coming back!

Best coffee in Frederick! From a pour over to a latte, they make each cup with the highest quality ingredients and artistry. Each cup is a work of art. Expect long lines, but it’s worth the wait.

Tried Gravel & Grind in Frederick and loved the whole experience. The coffee is really well made, the food is simple but flavorful, and the atmosphere is super cozy and welcoming. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

This place is fantastic! I bought a new bike online and wanted to have it professionally assembled and tuned up. After researching several bike shops, I chose Gravel & Grind, and I am so glad I did. The communication was excellent, and they had my bike ready in just three days. Scott did the work, and he did an outstanding job. If you need a bike assembled, repaired, or tuned up, I highly recommend Scott. He is the best! When I went to pick up my bike, I decided to try the café for the first time, and I am so glad I did. I had an amazing latte and lox and cream cheese toast. The latte was delicious, and the lox toast was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be going back, both for future bike tune-ups and to enjoy another coffee and bite to eat. Gravel & Grind is a great local business, and I love supporting small businesses in the community. Highly recommend!

I recently moved to Frederick and discovered this gem of a spot. I love both the indoor and outdoor atmosphere. When I am meeting with friends, there’s plenty of comfy lounge chairs and when I’m working on my computer plenty of tables with chairs. Both inside and outside! The staff is exceptionally friendly and remembers my name already My favorite drink is the Ube & Vanilla. I am vegan and get it with oat milk and it is by far my favorite drink ever! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Super cute coffee & bike shop in a downtown Frederick repurposed building. Clearly a popular meet spot with folks young and old gathering in comfy chairs, bar seating and outdoor umbrella covered tables. The cortado was good and strong. No pic of the Brussel sprout toast as I quickly devoured it. Signs lead to bike shop in the rear. Hope to return again soon to explore that section. Drinking Water station offered to refill your bottles. Lots of parking…but bring your bike!

One the coolest coffee shops visited yet. It's a coffee & bike shop in one. What's better than that 🤣 It was bustling busy in the middle of the day but plenty of comfy patio space for the socially distanced sensitive like me. Staff was awesome & helpful to a newbie. The latte I had was of the vegan hipster artistic variation featuring a housemade pandan syrup. Yummy & loved it❤️

Visited here in a Tuesday morning and the experience was excellent. We ordered two toast and both of them were great, especially the avocado and cucumber one, the combination really amazed us. All the ingredients were so fresh. And the coffee was also tasty. The most impressive part, is the service offered by all the staff. The uncle at the cashier is so kind and friendly, always with smile on his face. When queuing, some customers took very long time to decide what to order, and the uncle was so patient, explaining everything in clear language. The cafe closes at 2:00 PM, while my boyfriend and I weren’t realize it until almost 2:00 PM when we noticed some staff started to do cleaning. We felt so sorry about that and rushed to grab our stuff and leave. At that moment, a female staff came to us and said no rush at all, please take your time, it’s completely fine. She was so nice and friendly! Will definitely come back next time visiting this lovely town.
